Pre-2020, I didn’t do many telehealth visits. Telehealth is an easy way to perform a healthcare visit on any number of platforms including Zoom, Doxy Me, and many more. Some insurances reimburse telehealth visits at the same rate of a regular in office visit due to the international pandemic of 2020. I believe virtual care is not only the future of healthcare but the NOW of healthcare. So many patients in our country benefit from using these services. Elderly, acutely ill, and home or bedbound for any reason.

I get overwhelming gratitude from patients and their families when I visit them in the home or if I do a telehealth visit. It makes healthcare easy and seamless and less hassle for the patient and their caregivers.

Unfortunately even in 2021, there are a large percentage of people in our country that do not have access to a smart phone or a computer or even Internet. For those people I am thankful that I can offer Concierge Services in the home. Concierge Services to me means providing health care services and wellness visits in the comfort of a patient’s own home or facility in which they live. Unlimited healthcare services either covered by their private insurance or are an out of pocket expense. Money is obviously a barrier if someone desires concierge medicine, 100%. This is a niche that the elite and wealthy can afford. More and more people are affording this though due to the ever mounting liberal policies that are present in our country. I know I would much prefer to see my provider via telehealth or the provider come to me when I really need it.
